Tony inherited a system that was receiving absurd BODs from a local food processor. The odors were so bad they made your eyes water when you were standing in town. They had no D.O. levels in the pond, pH levels were 4.5, and sludge levels were at about two feet. They added several wind-powered aeration systems in addition to using VitaStim 6000 (Polar Blend in winter). After a couple months odors started to subside. Within a year sludge was down to a mere six inches — an 18 inch reduction. Tony now produces a superb effluent and has done a phenomenal job in turning this system around; we are glad to have played a role.
